Department of Dance is the most recent addition to the faculty of Arts, at the University of Dhaka. It is the first of its kind in Bangladesh for higher studies in Dance not only as a performing art but also as a regular subject. In that respect, the Department of Dance plays a major and leading role in providing higher education in Dance in the field of culture and creative arts and thus enables researchers and diligent creative performers to create a new dimension by blending in traditional and modern dance forms.
